Veteran newsman A Kadir Jasin has mocked PAS MPs for seemingly being uninterested in the discovery of RM2.6 billion in Prime Minister’s Najib Abdul Razak personal accounts.
Opposition MPs had yesterday held up placards which read: “Where is the RM2.6 billion” after Najib finished tabling the Budget 2016 in Parliament.
However, Kadir, who is aligned to former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad, noted that some PAS MPs did not join in.
“PAS did not question. Perhaps the PAS clerics know who is the Arab (who gave the money) and where the remainder is being kept now,” said Kadir in a blog posting today.
Najib had denied taking public funds for personal gain while his supporters claim the massive deposits was a donation from an Arab.
According to the photograph uploaded by Kadir, among the PAS MPs that stood by as other opposition MPs held up the placards were Pasir Mas’ Nik Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz, Temerloh’s Nasrudin Hassan, Kuala Nerus’ Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali and Hulu Langat’s Che Rosli Che Mat.
Meanwhile, other PAS MP’s such as Marang’s Abdul Hadi Awang, Bukit Gantang’s Idris Ahmad and Kota Baru’s Takiyuddin Hassan were absent.
However, a few PAS MPs did join in, such as Rantau Panjang’s Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff and Pokok Sena’s Mahfuz Omar.
